We collect your name, email, institution, and degree information when you sign up. We also collect the research documents you upload, your session responses, and basic usage data (pages visited, session duration). Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never store your card information.
We use your information to provide the service, generate your personalized defense questions, process payments, and send account-related emails. We may also send product updates — you can opt out at any time. We do not sell your data.
Your uploaded documents are processed solely to generate your defense questions. We do not sell, share, or use your research for any other purpose — including AI training. Documents can be deleted from your account at any time.
We use trusted third-party services to operate DefendIQ, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and OpenAI (AI processing). Each is bound by their own privacy policies. We do not share your data with anyone else.
We use HTTPS encryption and secure authentication to protect your data. We retain your information while your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
